Need to change your benefits coverage? Notify your HR Office by March 16

Every March, University of Toronto offers employees the opportunity to make changes to their extended health, dental, vision*, and semi-private hospital* benefits coverage.

During this time, employees may opt to change their level of coverage or opt into a new plan.

This is the only time during the year that benefits coverage can be changed, other than in the event of a change in family status (marriage, divorce, birth of child, etc.), or if an employee’s spouse / partner loses or gains equivalent coverage.

Need to change your level of coverage, or wish to opt-in to a new plan?

You must contact your HR Divisional Office before March 16, 2017. 

If a change is made, applicable deductions will begin in March, while updates to your coverage will be effective April 1, 2017.
