All three of the University of Toronto campuses are in the communities supported by the United Way Greater Toronto. In 2019, our faculty, librarians, staff, and students generously contributed over $550,000 to the United Way.
This year’s campaign runs from November 2 – December 31, 2020. U of T invites all of our community members to contribute.
In the past, generous support from donors has enabled the United Way Greater Toronto to provide various programs that serve the community across their network of 280 agencies.
In 2020 United Way provided:
in rapid response emergency funding that has been invested in more than 198 projects across the GTA since March, helping more than 100,000 people.
in flexible funding invested each month in their network of agencies so they can continue to provide critical supports.
services delivered to people in Peel, Toronto, and York Region every year by the United Way Greater Toronto, including access to food, shelter, and mental health supports.
