OTO Payments for Professional/Managerial Staff

The annual salary increase process in accordance with the Senior Appointments and Compensation Committee regulations, requires the reporting of any OTO payments being made in conjunction with the annual merit base increases to P/M staff in salary levels P/M 6 to P/M 9. If you are planning to award any OTO payments to P/M staff within these salary levels, please submit a brief paragraph explaining the rationale for the payment including whether or not this is in accordance with a contractual agreement between the University and the staff member. Please submit your information by June 27, 2008 directly to Deborah Ovsenny Manager, Compensation at deborah.ovsenny@utoronto.ca

It should be noted that in accordance with the Guidelines for Special Recognition, any proposed OTO payments of $5,000 or greater for any P/M staff must be submitted to the Vice President, Human Resources & Equity for review, approval and discussion with the applicable Division Head. A brief paragraph explaining the rationale for the payment should be
included. If you are planning to move forward with a payment of $5,000 or greater in conjunction with the annual salary adjustment program, please submit your information on your P/M staff by June 27, 2008 directly to Deborah Ovsenny Manager, Compensation at deborah.ovsenny@utoronto.ca

OTO payments above this $5,000 threshold should not be processed until approvals have been confirmed.
