Salary increases for CUPE 3902 (Unit 5)
In accordance with the CUPE 3902 (Unit 5) renewal collective agreement (PDF, 4 MB), the following increases to salaries will be processed by Central Payroll Services, and UTM and UTSC Payroll Offices for employee postdoctoral fellows:
Increases to minimum salary
Increases to 100% FTE minimum salary as follows:
|Effective May 31, 2017:||$33,000|
|January 1, 2018:||$34,000|
|January 1, 2019:||$35,000|
The May 31, 2017, increase will be processed in July 2017 retroactive to May 31, 2017.
Increases to salaries above the minimum
Increases of 1.5% in each of the three years of the renewal collective agreement for the sub-set of employees who are earning more than the minimum salary and who have worked in the bargaining unit for consecutive twelve (12) months and whose salary has not increased for any reason for at least twelve (12) months preceding the Salary Adjustment Date.
The first set of increases under this provision will be processed in August 2017 retroactive to May 31, 2017; the ongoing salary increase will be processed at least once every two months.
- There is no requirement to reissue any existing letters of offer.
- Effective immediately, the new minimum salary amount must be reflected in any new letter of offer issued.
