Next month, the University of Toronto will begin an annual data collection and global benchmarking program called UniForum to better understand how we resource administrative and support services across our three campuses.
This important initiative will help us improve the services and activities that support our academic mission long-term. The findings will also inform how we address the feedback received from the Service Effectiveness Survey you were invited to participate in this past fall.
The UniForum program is unique in that it will benchmark U of T against 48 other research-intensive universities around the world, allowing us to see how our service delivery compares to our peers. Universities already participating in the program include the University of Oxford, the University of Melbourne and the University of British Columbia
A number of administrative directors and department managers will be called upon to contribute data for their areas in May and June. Should you be requested to participate in the program, you will be contacted by a member of the UniForum project team in the coming weeks.
The main data collection period runs from June 3 to 21 and training will be offered for all participants. We aim to minimize the impact on your time, and provide support to you throughout the process.
We look forward to sharing the results of this exercise next fall.
