As part of our continued commitment in ensuring we provide the best learning experience for HRIS users at the University of Toronto, the HRIS Support Team is pleased to launch the new virtual self-paced HRIS Overview Course, fully accessible online at any time, through the SuccessFactors Learning Management System.
The HRIS Overview Course is intended for staff at the University of Toronto that have access to process or display payroll and HR data on the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The overview course takes users through topics such as HRIS and key payroll processing schedule specifics, how to access the system, basic navigation, the importance of transaction codes, where to perform actions related to employee changes, and how to view the repository of employee data.
The overall objective of the course is to provide the fundamentals needed to get started on the system and perform job responsibilities for maintaining employee records and pay, with the assistance of job aids such as procedure documentation.
This is the prerequisite for all new HRIS users who plan to complete the HRIS Standard Curriculum and can be assigned by managers when onboarding new employees. The other eight courses provide an in-depth discussion and hands-on practice that relate specifically to the University of Toronto staff groups, and can be accessed in the Learning Catalog.
