Each year in March, the University of Toronto offers employees the opportunity to make changes to their extended health, dental, vision*, and semi-private hospital* benefits coverage. During this time, you may opt to change your level of coverage or opt into a new plan.

This is the only time during the year that benefits coverage can be changed, other than in the event of a change in family status (marriage, divorce, birth of child, etc.), or if an employee’s spouse / partner loses or gains equivalent coverage.

To change your level of coverage or to opt in to a new plan, you must contact your HR Divisional Office by March 15, 2016. If a change is made, applicable deductions will begin in March, while any change to your level of coverage will be implemented for April 1, 2016.

Any questions related to making changes to your benefits coverage can be directed toward your HR Divisional Office.
