The Canadian Payroll Association’s National Payroll Week (NPW) is held in an effort to recognize all the payroll professionals who keep Canada paid. Now in its 23rd year, NPW aims to “build awareness of the role, size and scope of payroll professionals in the business, government and academic communities, and with the general public.”
At the University of Toronto (U of T) there is a dedicated team of payroll professionals who help keep U of T employees paid.
Did you know that at U of T…
- more than 500 HRIS users are working hard to process your pay (29 employee groups)
- about 50,000 T4 / T4A slips are issued every year
- $1.2 billion in wages and taxable benefits were paid in 2016
- these professionals work to comply with 23 collective agreements, as well as more than 200 federal and provincial regulatory requirements
In recognition of the week, the U of T Central Payroll Services and HRIS teams are hosting an info session on Thursday, September 14.
Your first stop for questions about pay is your Divisional HR Office.
