For the fifth consecutive year, the University of Toronto (U of T) has been named one of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers. This special designation recognizes the employers that do the most to help their employees balance work and family obligations.

Over the past year, U of T has offered a number of family-friendly programs and initiatives for its employees, including:
- A new family-friendly listing on the U of T St. George campus map that highlights child care centres, breastfeeding locations, baby change stations, student family housing, and family resource centres
- Work-life management workshops like Developing Your Career While Raising a Family that share strategies for balancing a career while raising a family
- Healthy School Lunches & Family Meals sessions, which offer time-saving, meal planning tips for employees
- Bike Chain‘s Bike Mechanics for Kids workshop where children came on campus to learn bike maintenance and safety
